My experience: The treadmill breaks down I contact Icon fitness Icon say “you didn’t register your product within a certain number of days of purchasing it so it is not under warranty” I say “I registered it on the day I received it, delivery took a long time” They say “contact fitness superstore, who you brought it from and they can confirm this” I contact fitness superstore and they tell me they cannot send me the evidence because it has other customer information on I contact icon and they say “we cannot contact fitness superstore, if you don’t provide the evidence then we won’t uphold the warranty” Eventually I manage to get the evidence to them Icon say “yes it is under warranty, we will order the parts and an engineer will contact you” Several months later I ring Icon “are we still waiting for the parts, what’s going on?” Icon say “urm yes we won’t be able to get the parts. Really is a shame because if it weren’t for their customer service then they would be a great treadmill company to go for. Hopefully someday someone will put the effort in to stop Icon with their completely unethical business practice. In the future I will pick a company like peleton. This lesson has taught me to go for the company with the best customer service rather than the company that seems to be offering the best treadmill. It looks like peleton UK has good customer service. Whenever it breaks down you will have a large, heavy, expensive dead weight in your house. This, coupled with the lack of customer service, essentially means that any purchase of their treadmill is a gamble.

Their treadmills work well when they do work, however they tend to be quite unreliable. If you buy one of their machines it’s better just to assume their “manufacturers warranty” doesn’t exist. I think their treadmills are good, it’s just their customer service that is atrocious. Ifit seems to just respond with the copy and pasted “please email us on this email” to reviews anyway, which, from speaking to them several times directly is a waste of time. From reading other people’s reviews, what I’ve experienced is clearly normal when dealing with Ifit.

They seem to want me to assume that, after writing a review, contacting them again will somehow solve the problem that they have so far been unwilling to solve. Not sure whether UTS is a subsidiary of Ifit or how that works. Instead they told me to contact Ifit again, despite my review stating that contacting Ifit multiple times has been totally unhelpful and wasted my time.

They said that the warranty is provided by another company called UTS but did not clarify further how to contact this company. Perhaps they are trying to hide some of the negative reviews? I received a response to the below review which was totally unhelpful.

I see Ifit has an overall “poor” rating, which is actually significantly better than their rating under “Icon”. I had originally written this review under the trustpilot reviews for “Icon”, but they gave me a response that they are now called “IFIT”, so I’ve copied the review to here. The review ratings are accurate - buy a peleton instead
